I’m Helen, and I’ve been passionate about carriage driving since 1986, always dreaming of one day running my own horse and carriage business. That dream became a reality when my family purchased Stocks Hotel in 2010, giving me the perfect opportunity to bring my vision to life.
Now, I’m proud to share my love of Sark’s unique charm and beauty with visitors from April to October. With my team of friendly, well-trained horses and a stunning collection of beautifully restored antique carriages, I offer private, personalised tours that showcase the very best of our remarkable island.
As we journey through Sark’s breathtaking landscapes, I’ll share fascinating stories about the island’s rich history, diverse wildlife, and quirky community traditions. Our Sark Carriage tours offer the perfect way to discover the island’s natural beauty, fascinating history, and unique charm. As you clip-clop along Sark’s peaceful paths, your friendly driver will share fascinating insights into the island’s history, pointing out key places of interest. There will be plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs, take photographs, and, if time allows, pop into one of Sark’s charming spots like the Caragh’s Chocolate Kitchen or a delightful tea room.
From the elevated height of our antique carriages, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the island’s lush landscapes and rugged coastline. Sark is a nature lover’s paradise, home to a rich variety of wildlife thanks to its environmentally friendly farming practices. As you journey through, your driver will also share stories about life on the island, answering any questions you may have along the way.
Although there is no fixed itinerary, rest assured that the two-hour tour will allow you to experience all the island's highlights at a relaxed pace, making the most of your time on this exceptional island.
